Hot-blooded rivals Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira rematch in Miami, while Jorge Masvidal and Brazilian contender Gilbert Burns fight in the co-main event.
0.1 Overview
Inspired by UFC 287's posters, I created digital marketing assets with the assistance of AI. This venture allowed for some thrilling experimentation with AI tools, adding a fresh dimension to my design process.
0.2 Styleframes
After generating the illustrations with Midjourney, I began creating style frames for the animation, visually depicting the sequence from start to finish.
The designs showcased the main and co-main event fighters through three distinct designs per fighter. I opted for big textured typography using the UFC font. Additionally, I created a version with solid colors to make the fighters stand out.
0.3 Animation, Script, and VO
Drawing inspiration from UFC's branding, I recreated the animation style to highlight the fighters' names. ChatGPT helped summarize UFC 287's cold open which I used as the script. I utilized Elevenlabs to clone Ron Pearlman's voice for the narration.
0.4 Social
Working in the entertainment industry, adapting key art files to different formats is very common. I resized the style frames to create the following social posts.
0.5 Conclusion
AI's jaw-dropping capabilities raise questions about its potential takeover. However, AI is currently an assistant, not a ruler.
With AI's help, I was able to create illustrations, background art, and a voice-over resembling Ron Pearlman. Although AI streamlined these tasks, refining each element required time.
While AI's advancements may raise concerns, I currently embrace and appreciate its benefits as a collaborative tool that works alongside me.
